Trend Watch: Berets

Trend Watch: Berets

Berets are everywhere! They’ve been on runways and are also Megan Markle’s hat of choice. Below are six tres chic outfits that belong at a picnic on the Seine, visiting a museum in Paris, or strolling through Monet’s garden. They include some of the best ethical, sustainable, or slow berets I could find.

Primary colors galore! This color yellow is one of my favorites. I think it probably scares a lot of people but it shouldn’t. I haven’t seen a skin tone it doesn’t look good on and the red beret really pairs nicely with it. Also don’t be afraid to switch up the cardigan color. I feel like any neutral colored sweater would pair well with the whole look.

Getting down to the basics of something is where the most fulfillment comes from. This is a really simple, basic look that I could wear a thousand times. Really it won’t ever go out of style. Clothes at their basic level should be functional, pieces that you can wear over and over again. I try to repeatedly feature the same brands and products so that it’s incredibly easy to find brands that are good and the best pieces from those brands. Hopefully, this look does that.

A dress and pants. Oh, my! This uber chic beret look focuses on minimalist basics gray and black. But it’s definitely not a minimalist look because the red gives you a pop of color and the elephants come out to play on your feet. A look to bring out every kooky-stylish sustainable thing I’ve ever wanted in a casual look. I just think the combination of all these bright colors is really fun, and at its heart, fashion should be fun. There is a beret that’s trendy, a bag that’s bright, awesome earrings, and runners that are unique in every possible way. Even the pair isn’t the same.
